updated 4-13-18Good morning Fellow Prospectors,

The link I sent in last night's email went south on me when I created it; it points to downtown Nesika. Here's a corrected one: https://goo.gl/maps/or8s7gjHenL2 . Once you open it and the page loads, the spot is right in the center of your screen as my red map pin won't be there. Put Google Maps into Satellite mode, and you'll see things much clearer, and can see the paths down to the beach. If you zoom out a bit, you can see the Hwy 101 and the Nesika road intersection (the northern Nesika road intersection). Once you turn off the highway toward the ocean you need to take an immediate hard right, and go almost to the end of that dead end road. I've attached a picture of the spot, with a pin in the middle. Thank you all!

Our club outing this month is at the coast, over at my favorite spot, Nesika Beach. Since it's a 3 hour drive from Roseburg, everyone is going to meet early this Saturday, at 8 AM at the Winston Dairy Queen. Sadly I won't be able to make it on this trip, but I know that fellow member Don Munion plans on going and will be at the Winston DQ at 8 AM, so anyone else going can caravan with him to the beach. They'll stop in Bandon at Face Rock Creamery for some cheese sampling and a bathroom break, then head on down to Nesika. I estimate everyone will make it to Nesika about 11 AM. Fellow member David Humbert is already at the coast and will meet everyone at Nesika. The weather at the beach that day appears to be overcast, in the mid 50's with a 10% chance of rain each hour, with a 20% chance picking up about 2 PM and then measurable moisture about 5 PM. There'll be a 15 MPH steady wind pretty much all day. So, be prepared. Here's a Google Maps link to the exact parking spot where folks walk down and setup their equipment, should you miss the caravan or already be at the coast this weekend and want to meet up: https://goo.gl/maps/SF1Do47XXw32 We have more news to share with everyone, for those who weren't at Monday's general meeting, but I'm out of time for now. Stay tuned, and until then... May there always be a flash in your pan!

Golden regards,
